Just beat this at 2:30 in the morning right as I broke the one million dollar mark. Getting the last two thousand or so was hell as I had to delete many hotels and offices to fit the condos. I didn't realize till the end that you have to have the 15,000 population at the same time that the wedding takes place, which is in the middle of the day on a weekend, meaning offices and hotels don't help at all. Good game, but I just played it till my eyes hurt and I doubt that I will be coming back to it for quite some time hahaha, you're guide was probably the most helpful that I found on the internet, despite being a year or two old, so thanks a ton!!!

Ah, yes, indeed.

Well, how I think of it, is that if your elevator is serving floors which generally want to go down, or leave the building (example), then you use Express to Top. This makes the elevator rush up to the topmost floor and stop at every floor with waiting passengers on the way down, even if those people want to go up. Since most want to go down, you don't want to hold up an elevator for a single person who wants to go up. So you do Express to Top so the elevator forces itself to bypass all Up requests.

Of course if you have 2 different types of tenants in the building, who run on different schedules. You will want to try and run 2 sets of special elevators for each. I do this by only placing one type of tenant per floor. And then I alternate tenants per floor. Then I alternate the floors serviced by each elevator shaft so that one elevator only services one tenant type, and the other only services the other tenant type. I then set them up so they run efficently based on the tenants activity, and .. thats about it. You really don't have to worry much else about them.

When it comes to express elevators, it can be a bit tricky. Best to leave them as standard service elevators, unless you are SURE that they will only serve one tenant.

As for skylobbies, be sure that they connect all elevators. You can place resturants and such, and still have them work. But tenants will only be able to walk between elevators which are fully connected by a single stretch of lobby.

Nice info.

One thing I've always wondered about was the elevator micromanagement. Do you know more about all the options available for the elevators (express to top, etc) and how to best use them?

Thanks.
